Attn: Mom - Donation Station Birthday Idea

Are you a mother that worries that your daughter is turning into a “Material Girl?” Is your daughter more concerned with a name brand of clothing vs. the color? Is your daughter more excited about birthday gifts than her birthday party with friends? Does your daughter have a room full of things and seems to always ask for something new? Are you concerned?

True Club Z girls of course, love the finer things in life but believe that no one should be without and know that their best accessory any girl can own is her ability to give from the heart.

This year turn your daughters’ birthday into an opportunity to teach her how to give.
Start out by requesting on your party invitation that all gifts be donated to your daughters’ favorite charity such as the humane society or local orphanage.

If you think this is too extreme, have your daughter go through her room and sort through her toys, clothes, handbags, accessories and pile up the ones that she has not worn or used in the past few months. Now take your daughter to the local orphanage, women’s shelter or other children’s charity to drop off your donation.

What a wonderful Birthday gift of love for your daughter to give and to receive this year.

The Price is Right – Slumber Party Game

Filed under: Slumber Party Games — zDiva March 30, 2007 @ 7:01 am

When the Slumber Party Girls are getting a little wild and crazy, it might be a great time for a fun slow paced game such as The Price is Right – Slumber Party Game.

Before the party take a visit to your local super center and purchase small items such as a bag of potato chips, a jar of pickles, a stuffed animal, a coloring book, a pack of crayons, a tube of lipstick….you get the point. Just make sure that if you have eight girls at the party then you have eight products.

Pass out note cards to each Slumber Party Girl and hold one item up and have the girls try to guess how much it costs. Show the price and award the item to the girl that guesses the closest. That player is out of the game until each girl has won a prize.

Divaliscious Dough Pins

Filed under: Slumber Party Activities — zDiva March 20, 2007 @ 7:02 pm

A girl that doesn’t like accessories? Impossible! Make this year’s slumber party craft extra-ordinary with Divaliscious Dough Pins. Pin them on a shirt, backpack, ball cap or even a tennis shoe.

This craft allows the Slumber Party girls to not only get some quality time in the kitchen but let’s them express their inner Van Gough in the decorating aspect.

The supplies are simple. Visit your local Super Store or Craft Supply and pick up cookie cutters, magnets, safety pin backs, hot clue, assortment of acrylic paints (I prefer glitter), paint brushes, acrylic sealer, wax paper and a cookie sheet.

When it’s time for your slumber party craft have all of the girls hang out in the kitchen to mix ½ Cup of Salt; 1 Cup of Flour and ½ Cup Water. Knead the dough and roll out with a rolling pin on wax paper (helps to avoid a mess) as if you were making home made sugar cookies. Now use the cookie cutters and cut out your favorite shape and place on a baking sheet. Now bake at 250 degrees for 2 hours. While the cut outs are baking it’s a great time to play a few Slumber Party Games such as Truth or Dare or 20 Questions.

Once the cut outs are baked and have cooled, it’s time to get creative and decorate with the assortment of paints. If the girls want to write their names, acrylic paint pens as well as a toothpick dipped in paint works very well.

When the paint has dried, coat with an acrylic sealer. I prefer the spray kind. Let mess is always best! Now, simply hot glue the pin backs on the back of the little masterpieces to have ready for the girls to wear the next morning.

If you have a birthday near the Christmas Holiday, this craft makes wonderful Christmas ornament. Before baking simply take a straw and push through the dough to make a hole. After baking, decorating and sealing, tie a pretty ribbon or even raffia through the hole to hang on the Christmas tree.

I promise you, the Slumber Party Girls will rave over this way cool Slumber Party Craft!
